Our guest lodgings, the Bonita Studio and the Garden Suite, are located in quiet residential neighborhoods just blocks from the shops and restaurants for which Berkeley is famous. A short walk to Chez Panisse restaurant and cafe, we are also under a mile from the University of California campus. Set in tranquil private gardens, our guest lodgings are thoughtfully appointed. All accommodations are non-smoking and pet-free.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

PAYMENT: Personal checks, bank drafts, and cash are accepted (no credit cards). Bookings over holidays may be surcharged by 10% - 15%, depending upon your length of stay. We require a booking deposit to confirm your reservation; the amount will be determined based on the total fee to be charged for your stay.

CLEANING FEE: A one-time charge of $80 - $125, depending on the length of your stay. For longer stays, weekly cleanings are charged from $40 - $60.  Personal laundry service is available for an additional fee.

REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT: We require a separate refundable security deposit for all properties. The amount shall be determined on an individual basis. This security deposit is used for any damage (unintentional or otherwise) to the property or its contents. We will also apply the deposit in cases where excessive post-departure cleaning is required, where there is evidence of smoking or other lingering penetrating odors, or in the case of lost keys or occupancy beyond the agreed number of people. The security deposit will be returned shortly after departure less any charges, if applicable.

SUPPLIES: Each unit is initially supplied with various paper products, bath and kitchen soap and basic kitchen condiments. We do not re-stock these supplies during your stay.

MINIMUM STAY: Two weeks. For longer stays, please contact us for a quote. 

CANCELLATION POLICY: When a cancellation is received more than 45 days before a scheduled arrival, the booking deposit will be refunded less a $150 cancellation fee. If a cancellation is received in under 45 days before a scheduled arrival, the entire booking deposit will be forfeited. A credit on a forfeited booking deposit will be given for future stays within one year, based upon availability. No refunds or fee adjustments may be made after arrival. Rates and terms are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to terminate any rental agreement with immediate effect where our rules, terms and conditions have not been respected.

OTHER: We do not serve breakfast, and we are not a B&B. Please note that we occasionally have additional properties available for short-term lodging.
